6 Strange Mobile Apps That Will Blow Your MindJune 23, 2021
As of February 2015, the total number of apps in Google Play and Apple Store have amounted into a whopping 2.8 million. For aspiring mobile developers, that can be very inspiring and motivating or very intimidating, which is understandable 聊天室. But, with that kind of number, you just know that at least dozens of those are on the “weirder” side. Although it can be defended by saying that the margin of new ideas is getting thinner, you can’t also help but be perplexed at some of them. So, how weird has it gone? You might be surprised.
PLACES I’VE “POOPED”
What a good way to start, right? We figured that if we were to put “6 Strange Mobile Apps” in the title, we should start it this way. Anyway, this is pretty self-explanatory (A lot of them are): do your “business,” take a picture of the area, share it in the app, and it’s done 交友網. You can now keep track of the places you’ve dropped the “deuce.” It also has that typical social media feel to it with the “News Feed,” wherein you can see your friends’ own “business” updates, and not only that, the images can be also rated.
The creators of this app say that it can detect what a cry meant 識女仔方法. Now, before you say this is crazy, a clinical testing from a hospital in Spain said that more than 90% of the babies they tested stopped crying after they had followed the app’s suggestions. It was definitely a good look for them. But, the user reviews, which is as important as it can get, tell a different story. As of this writing, the app’s average rating in the Apple Store is 2 stars. The last couple of reviews didn’t help either; all panned the app’s inaccuracy. One of them even said that “(the app) was nothing more than a novelty.” While it is true in many ways, it’s still confusing how and why anyone would pay $5 for this – even $1 sounds too much.
It’s pretty simple… and a little gross for many. It was popular for a while, but their share of critics was also strong, splitting people’s opinions very evenly. Our “self-explanatory” theme is still in play. So, yeah, this app just lets you pop pimples, blackheads, whiteheads, and scabs in a timed challenge. Among their mini games include Memory Game and Bubble Shooter, which challenges your memory of the game’s sound FX and ability to group pimple-looking bubbles, respectively. Well, considering everything, it might be safe to say that the developers of this app must really like this kind of nastiness. Here are some of their other creations: Pimplefy My Face, Pimple Popper Season, and Pimple Popper Pixel.
AMAZING GIRLFRIEND APP
Now, this one right here is surely pissing off a lot feminists. An app that caters to men (or women) that’s unfaithful? Seriously? It’s definitely hard to believe. Others will just have some fun with it, but you can’t say that there are some who will use it for “womanizing” reasons. It stores significant details such as names, gifts given, location of dates, and several other key details that unfaithful individuals need so that they won’t get caught. So, those who have “plans,” download it and knock yourself out, but be ready if your significant other finds out and “knocks you out.”
GHOST HUNTING APPS (Spirit Box, Ghost Detector, Ghost Voice Recorder, Ghost Hunter – Paranormal Activity, etc.)
For this item, we won’t focus on just one app. There’s just too many of them, as indicated above. Functionality-wise, they of course differ in a lot of ways, they are all similar in one claim: they can detect ghosts. It can be really intriguing to those who are interested in the “paranormal world.” That said, no one can also deny that this app has a lot of novelty mixed in it. This is not really about ghosts being real or not, but an app saying it can detect ghosts is simply not the most believable thing in the world, to say the least. From the reviews we’ve read online, some are saying that the app can indeed gather voices. We’ll give them the slightest benefit of the doubt, but it’s really difficult to believe that those audio are from ghosts, especially in this much modernized, high-tech world we live in.
WATCHING CUTE GIRL
Watching Cute Girl clearly takes the cake when you talk about strange apps. Leave it to the Japanese to develop things like these. They will push the envelope without hesitation, regardless of the topic. The premise is simple: if you’re alone (or at least feeling alone), the app will make forget that you are. The “watching cute girl” is right on your phone as you launch the app; staring at you while you do whatever it is you’re doing. That’s not all, though: she speaks, moves, and talks to you. It’s like Siri with a face and body, but not as useful… And you’d be probably more crept out with “Watching Cute Girl.”
